2007 LENTEN PROGRAMME

SUNDAY EVENINGS IN LENT at
6.00 p.m. Models of the Church
Introduction: One question repeatedly being asked in recent times as we observe some disturbing trends in the wider society is, “What is the church doing?” It is essentially a question about the mission of the church.

According to the catechism of the Church in the Province of the West Indies, “The mission of the Church is to bring all people into unity with God and each other in Christ.” These reflections on the models of the church are an attempt to define the basic functions of the church and how we understand its role in the modern world?
